Woo Sang-ho, Controversy Over Quarantine Rule Violation... 'X-Shaped' Handshake with Fellow Lawmakers
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Woo Sang-ho, a candidate for the Seoul mayoral primary of the Democratic Party of Korea, is facing controversy over violating quarantine rules regarding a photo taken with fellow lawmakers on the 4th.
The photo was taken after Woo made a policy announcement related to the undergrounding of Line 1 at Sindorim Station in Seoul that morning. About 10 Democratic Party lawmakers and district mayors are seen performing the so-called 'X-shaped handshake' with Woo.
The health authorities specify as a key COVID-19 social distancing rule that people should not have physical contact (such as handshakes or hugs) with those they meet.
