Gyeongnam Province and Provincial Office of Education Join Hands to Strongly Support City and County Cooperation in the 'Happy Education District Project'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] The Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Government and the Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education have launched the Gyeongnam Provincial Integrated Education Promotion Team, which is working to integrate local autonomy and educational autonomy to address regional educational issues.
On the 4th of last month, the Gyeongnam Integrated Education Promotion Team held a council meeting for city and county education cooperation at the Gyeongnam Youth Training Center 'On' with six counties operating the Happy Education District and their respective county education support offices.
At this council meeting, they introduced the contents of the governor-superintendent work agreement from the regular meeting of the provincial education administrative council held in September last year, as well as the city and county education cooperation projects to be promoted by the Integrated Education Promotion Team this year.
In particular, they shared plans regarding support for the Happy Education District project, which will be supported from this year under the governor-superintendent work agreement, and discussed difficulties related to cooperative work.
Additionally, they shared best practices from Goseong-gun among the Happy Education Districts promoted through the work agreement between the provincial office of education and the cities and counties, and had time to discuss efficient cooperation methods among institutions operating the Happy Education District projects in the region.

Based on this council meeting, it is expected that by supporting projects tailored to the regional characteristics of each city and county and their education support offices in the Happy Education District operation areas, a foundation for establishing a cooperative system for the operation of the Happy Education District will be formed.
