According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 4th, 9 people were confirmed positive last night and registered as cases 1849 to 1857.
Cases 1849 to 1852 and 1856 were classified as related to Jeonnam case 738. Jeonnam case 738, a resident of Naju, was confirmed positive on the 27th of last month, and the infection route is still under investigation.
Cases 1853 and 1854 developed symptoms during self-quarantine and tested positive after diagnostic tests. They are related to Antioch Church and Seongin Arcade, respectively.
Case 1855 is a contact of case 1847, who was confirmed positive earlier on the same day. The infection route of case 1847 is under investigation.
The infection route of case 1857 was confirmed to be related to Hyojeong Nursing Hospital.
Including the 3 previously announced cases in the Gwangju area, a total of 12 people were confirmed positive in one day.
