[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) will expand 8 public daycare centers in 2021 to create a childcare environment that parents can trust.
On February 1, two public daycare centers opened in the Godeok Gangil Public Housing District: Gangdong Haemil Daycare Center (area 607.85㎡, capacity 98) in Complex 6, and Haebom Daycare Center (area 593.53㎡, capacity 92) in Complex 7.
Additionally, in March, three centers will open: Tobagi Public Daycare Center (Godeok Xi), Garam Seulgi Public Daycare Center (Amsa 1-dong), and Sarang Green Public Daycare Center (Godeok Gangil Complex 9). In April, three more centers will open: Haetteuneun Public Daycare Center (Godeok Gangil Complex 11), Garaeyeoul Public Daycare Center (Godeok Gangil Complex 8), and Dororong Public Daycare Center (Godeok Gangil Complex 14). In total, 8 centers will be expanded in 2021, operating 85 centers.
The district plans to continuously expand public daycare centers, aiming to increase the usage rate of public daycare centers from the current 40% to 50% by 2024.
