[Photo] Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Attends Escalator Inauguration Ceremony at Taereungipgu Station Exit 4
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the afternoon of the 3rd at 3 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the escalator opening ceremony held in the waiting area in front of Exit 4 on the B1 floor of Taereungipgu Station on Subway Line 7.
The event was organized to commemorate the completion of the escalator construction, which began in February 2019, and to conduct a test ride.
In addition to Exit 4, which was completed on this day, escalator installation work at Exit 1 of Taereungipgu Station is scheduled to be completed in September this year and construction will begin next year. Currently, escalator installation is underway at 13 access points across 14 subway stations in Nowon District.
The opening ceremony proceeded in the order of opening remarks, introduction of guests, opening report, congratulatory speeches, commemorative cutting, and test ride, with attendees including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, National Assembly member Ko Yong-jin, and Chairperson Choi Yoon-nam of the District Council.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon District said, “Taereungipgu Station is a transfer station between Subway Lines 6 and 7, so it has many users, but many have experienced inconvenience due to the lack of escalators until now. We will continue to strive to install additional escalators and elevators at subway stations in the area.”
