[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] The global outdoor brand The North Face, managed by Youngone Outdoor, announced on the 3rd that it is launching its first capsule collection made by recycling 100 tons of PET bottles collected in Jeju, called the ‘The North Face K-ECO Samdasoo Collection.’
The newly introduced 'The North Face K-ECO Samdasoo Collection' incorporates the beautiful natural environment of pristine Jeju into its products through designs inspired by Jeju Samdasoo. Featuring character graphics picking up PET bottles, including Dolharubang, the collection uses a color combination that primarily includes refreshing green, white, and navy blue. Additionally, The North Face logo, lettering, and Samdasoo-shaped patches are applied as design highlights.
The ‘The North Face K-ECO Samdasoo Collection’ is released in a total of 16 diverse styles, including apparel such as jackets, anoraks, hoodies, sweatshirts, and short-sleeve T-shirts, as well as accessories like eco bags and bucket hats, expanding choices for consumers who value eco-friendly consumption. The ‘Save the Island Sweatshirt’ features graphics symbolizing Jeju’s resource circulation, such as characters picking up PET bottles, applied in different colors for each product, with a Samdasoo-shaped patch detail on the sleeve.
The ‘Novelty High Mountain Jacket’ is a functional product made with DryVent material, which offers excellent waterproof and breathable performance, and conductive yarn material that minimizes static electricity. The ‘Novelty Stunning Eco Anorak’ stands out with bold colors and a fresh gradient The North Face logo.
