KT&G Hosts 'Artistart' Exhibition to Nurture Local Emerging Artists
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan is holding the "1st Artistart" exhibition showcasing works by graduating art students from local universities until the 21st.
Artistart is a public-private cooperation project hosted by KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan and Busan Cultural Center, and supported by Busan Metropolitan City, aimed at nurturing emerging artists in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region. About 100 works by 70 graduating students from eight local universities including Busan National University and Gyeongnam National University are exhibited at four locations: KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan, Busan Citizens Hall, BNK Busan Bank Gallery, and Cheongnyeon Jakdangso.
The event also operates a mentoring program to support the prospective artists in growing into professional artists. KT&G plans to help university students solve their concerns and provide advice together with senior artists and experts actively working in the art and exhibition industry.
