Jungnang-gu, Spring Greeting 'Jungnang Happiness Bulletin Board' Slogan Contest
From the 4th to the 19th, Spring-themed Jungnang Happiness Bulletin Board Text Contest... Accepting original pure phrases within 30 characters suitable for the upcoming warm spring
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is holding a contest for the spring edition of the ‘Jungnang Happiness Message Board’ to convey warm emotions and comfort to residents along with the approaching spring atmosphere.
The submission period for this spring edition of the ‘Jungnang Happiness Message Board’ is from February 4 to 19. Any resident or business worker within Jungnang-gu can submit one entry per person.
The theme should evoke the feeling of spring, offer comfort to residents, provide warm emotional inspiration, and be relatable across generations.
Applicants should create an original phrase within 30 characters and submit it through the Jungnang-gu Office website (Citizen Participation → Internet Submission). If online submission is difficult, entries can be delivered in person to the Administrative Support Division of Jungnang-gu Office or sent by mail (179 Bonghwasan-ro, 4th floor, Administrative Support Division, Jungnang-gu).
Submitted works will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of internal and external members, and six works will be chosen. The winning entry (1 work) will receive a Jungnang Love Gift Certificate worth 500,000 KRW, and five runner-up entries will each receive 100,000 KRW, totaling approximately 1,000,000 KRW in prizes.
The winning phrase will be designed accordingly and displayed on the Jungnang Happiness Message Board installed on the outer wall of the Jungnang-gu Office building from March through June.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We ask for active participation so that the hopeful and warm energy of the new spring can be fully delivered to our residents,” adding, “I hope that through the Jungnang Happiness Message Board, everyone can feel small comforts in their daily lives with every step.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Jungnang Happiness Message Board’ is a large message board posted on the outer wall of the Jungnang-gu Office building. It was installed last April when the underground parking lot of the office was newly transformed into a green plaza open to residents. Since then, it has been operated as a space for residents to express their emotions each season. Starting with the first call for submissions for the summer edition, a total of 391 residents have participated up to the currently displayed winter edition.
