Civic Group Files Complaint Against Justice Party Lawmaker Ryu Ho-jeong Over 'Unfair Dismissal Controversy'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Ryu Ho-jeong, a Justice Party lawmaker embroiled in a wrongful dismissal controversy, has been accused of violating the Labor Standards Act by a civic group.
Hong Jeong-sik, the representative of the civic group Halbindan, announced on the 1st that he submitted a complaint to the Seoul Employment and Labor Office, stating, "If there is no awareness of procedural flaws, one does not qualify as a member of the National Assembly."
Earlier, a Justice Party member claimed on social media (SNS) that "Lawmaker Ryu notified her personal secretary of dismissal only 7 days in advance, failing to comply with the usual notice period for dismissal."

Ryu's side stated, "The dismissal was due to differences in work attitudes, and misunderstandings have been resolved," but the personal secretary, Mr. Lee, continued to refer to her as the perpetrator even after Ryu's explanation.
