Sejong City Conducts Special Inspection of 40 Local Waste Facilities During Lunar New Year Holiday
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 1st that it will conduct special inspections of 40 waste disposal sites within the city from the 4th to the 19th.
The special inspections are being carried out to prevent environmental pollution and illegal waste dumping ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. The city will first focus on inspecting complaint-prone sites, vulnerable businesses, construction waste, and designated waste facilities from the 4th to the 10th, before the holiday.
From the 11th to the 14th, patrols will be intensified in the Geumgang River basin and areas at risk of environmental pollution, and an 'Environmental Pollution Special Surveillance Situation Room' will be established and operated to respond to environmental pollution incidents.
After the holiday, from the 15th to the 19th, technical support will be provided to environmentally vulnerable companies as a follow-up measure.
