The event will be held simultaneously from February 2 to 3 at nine traditional markets affiliated with the Jinju Merchants Association (Jungang Market, Jayu Market, Nongae Market, Cheonggwa Market, Dongseong Arcade, Dongbu Market, Cheonjeon Market, Rodeo Street Shopping District, and Underground Shopping Center).
Some participating stores will offer discounts of up to 30% on selected items. Customers who purchase more than 20,000 won will receive gifts on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cha Seong-su, president of the Jinju Merchants Association, said, “Everyone is having a hard time due to the economic downturn caused by COVID-19, but as this event was prepared to express our gratitude to customers visiting traditional markets ahead of our unique Lunar New Year holiday, we ask many people to participate.”

A city official stated, “To prevent the spread of COVID-19, since the 15th, 35 market sanitation workers have been deployed to the nine traditional markets and shopping districts to promote infectious disease prevention guidelines, making every effort. We ask many citizens to visit traditional markets with peace of mind during the Lunar New Year and support us during these difficult times.”
