Ministry of Foreign Affairs: "Korea-Singapore Fast Lane Temporarily Suspended from February 1"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it will temporarily suspend the issuance of quarantine exemption certificates for Singapore starting from the 1st of next month.
On the 30th, the Ministry stated, "In response to the worsening COVID-19 situation, Singapore plans to temporarily suspend the fast lane with South Korea, Malaysia, and Germany starting from the 1st of next month."
Regarding COVID-19 response, South Korea and Singapore agreed on a fast lane for essential personnel movement in September last year and have maintained close communication to ensure smooth implementation.

However, as Singapore temporarily suspends the fast lane, South Korea will respond accordingly. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "Based on reciprocity, we also plan to temporarily suspend the issuance of quarantine exemption certificates for Singapore starting from the 1st."
