Dongdaemun-gu, Winter Vacation ONⅡ Camp 'Filling Thoughts Humanities' Education Starting February 1
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) will operate the 'Winter Vacation ONⅡ Camp "Filling Thoughts Humanities"' online from February 1st to help students develop future talent capabilities during the winter vacation.
This winter vacation camp is prepared as a 'Philosophy Edition' where students can develop their thinking skills by asking questions and finding answers about various phenomena occurring around us.
The true purpose of humanities is to become wisdom applicable to life, not just knowledge.
This 'Winter Vacation ONⅡ Camp "Filling Thoughts Humanities - Philosophy Edition"' consists of 8 sessions covering 4 topics: ▲What is art? ▲What is beauty? ▲What is righteousness? ▲Should robots vote and pay taxes?
The special lectures will be sequentially posted at 10 a.m. from February 1 to February 4 on the YouTube channel (DBS Dongdaemun-gu Office Internet Broadcasting) and the Dongdaemun-gu Education Vision Center website, allowing parents and students to watch freely.
Starting with this special lecture, the Dongdaemun-gu Education Vision Center will conduct various smart online educational special lectures every month throughout 2021 under the theme of 'Filling Thoughts Humanities' to help students develop their own perspectives and acquire future talent capabilities for the global era.
Yoo Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “We will continuously support creative thinking and future talent education to draw out students' potential abilities in preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution era, where AI is becoming a part of daily life and future talents with creative and convergent thinking are needed.”
The Dongdaemun-gu Education Vision Center offers free career learning counseling consulting for local elementary school 4th graders to middle and high school students, and also provides non-face-to-face online career learning counseling.
