9 Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Gwangju from Churches and Other Regions... Total 1,757 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Nine new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Gwangju Metropolitan City through various infection routes.
According to Gwangju City on the 29th, as of 6 p.m. that day, nine additional cases were confirmed, classified as Gwangju cases 1749 to 1757.
Regarding their infection routes, three are related to Gwangju Andiok Church, two to Jeonnam 738, two to Gwangju case 1499, and one each related to TCS Ace International School and Hyojeong Nursing Hospital.
The infection route of Gwangju case 1499 is still being traced, and the cases related to Jeonnam 738, a confirmed case from another region, were identified for the first time that day. The infection route of Jeonnam 738 has not been revealed.
Including the previously announced 15 cases, the total number of new confirmed cases reported so far that day is 24.
The cumulative confirmed cases by infection route are 65 for Gwangju Andiok Church, 161 for Hyojeong Nursing Hospital, and 41 for TCS Ace International School.
In Gwangju, all in-person worship services at churches will be completely banned from the next day until the 10th of next month. Thirty-three percent of this month's confirmed cases (212 people) are related to churches, including Gwangju TCS International School.
