On the 29th, Acting Leader Kim stated on Facebook, "I ran the party office election together with former Leader Kim and worked closely alongside him. I am the person who must take moral and political responsibility," expressing his intention to resign voluntarily.
He explained, "I have come to judge that maintaining my important position does not help the party overcome its difficulties at all," adding, "More active reform is necessary. For this, bold decisions and actions from the leadership are required. I will not be an obstacle."
He further stated, "The Justice Party will surely undergo a complete transformation through painful reflection and introspection," and added, "I will return to my original position and contribute even a small amount of support."
With the resignation of Vice Leader Kim, the position of Justice Party Leader has become vacant again.

A party official said, "According to the party's constitution and regulations, in case of a vacancy, the Vice Leader with the highest votes takes on the role of Acting Party Leader, but there is no regulation for when the Acting Leader resigns," and added, "The leadership's future will be discussed along with this matter at the National Committee meeting on the 30th."
