'Myanmar National Arrested for Disturbance at Hotel and Hospital During Self-Quarantine'
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A foreigner who caused a disturbance by damaging property in a hotel and a hospital emergency room during self-quarantine was arrested by the police.
Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul announced on the 29th that they have arrested and are investigating A (38), a Myanmar national, on charges of violating the Emergency Medical Service Act.
A is suspected of causing a disturbance by breaking a glass window with a fire extinguisher in the hallway of a hotel in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, where he was under self-quarantine, at around 6:20 p.m. the previous day. Afterwards, he was transferred to the emergency room of Sinchon Severance Hospital due to injuries on his hands and feet, but was arrested on the spot for causing a disturbance in the emergency room as well.
A entered the country from Myanmar on the 26th of this month with a short-term employment visa and was under self-quarantine. He tested negative for COVID-19 both upon entry and at the hospital.
