Gyeongnam Information University held the KIT Human Resources Development Forum on the 28th under the theme "Establishing a Leading Model for Future Vocational Education to Cultivate Creative and Characterful Talent Linked to the Local Community."
The forum was conducted both online and offline through Gyeongnam Information University's Future Hall and live streaming on YouTube. Experts in talent development from the region and academia attended, including Chu Man-seok, President of Gyeongnam Information University; Kim Byung-jin, Director of Busan Institute of Industrial Science and Innovation; Han Kwang-sik, Director of the Industry-Academia Education Innovation Institute at the Korea Council for College Education; Dr. Jung Ji-sun from the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training; and Kang Moon-sang, Director of the Higher Vocational Education Research Institute at the Korea Council for College Education.
President Chu Man-seok said, "We aim to put our heads together with top experts in talent development to explore directions for higher vocational education and establish a foundation linked to the local community for nurturing talent."
The human resources development forum featured keynote presentations including "Transition in the Era of Change: Strategies for Future Vocational Education" by Kim Byung-jin, Director of Busan Institute of Industrial Science and Innovation; "Directions for Higher Vocational Education for Future-Oriented Talent Development" by Dr. Jung Ji-sun, Honorary Research Fellow at the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training; and "Directions and Challenges for Talent Development at the Junior College Level" by Han Kwang-sik, Director of the Industry-Academia Education Innovation Institute at the Korea Council for College Education.
Following the presentations, a discussion was held chaired by Shim Jae-hyung, Head of the University Innovation Headquarters at Gyeongnam Information University, with panelists including Song Min-ok, Director of the Education Innovation Center at Gyeongnam Information University, and Kang Moon-sang, Director of the Higher Vocational Education Research Institute at the Korea Council for College Education.
