If Your Registered Address Is Jungnang-gu, Anyone Can Enroll Automatically with Full Premium Coverage...Wide Protection from Various Safety Accidents to Infectious Disease Deaths Including COVID-19, Duplicate Claims Allowed
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will introduce 'Resident Safety Insurance' for all residents starting this year.
Accordingly, any resident who suffers damage due to disasters or accidents can receive insurance premium support.
Without separate enrollment, anyone with a registered address in Jungnang-gu can join for free, and the coverage period is one year starting from the 29th of this month. The coverage area includes all regions nationwide, including Jungnang-gu.
The coverage items total 10 and include ▲death from gas injury accidents ▲sequelae from gas injury accidents ▲death from hit-and-run or uninsured vehicle injury ▲sequelae from hit-and-run or uninsured vehicle injury ▲compensation for medical personnel injury ▲legal cost support for medical accidents ▲death from infectious diseases ▲death from drowning accidents ▲ransom for youth abduction, kidnapping, or hostage situations ▲support fund for finding missing children. However, for those under 15 years old, only sequelae excluding death are covered according to Article 732 of the Commercial Act.
The maximum coverage amount per item is 10 million KRW, and duplicate benefits can be received even if the individual has other insurance.
Claims must be submitted with supporting documents to the Korea Local Finance Association within three years from the date of the accident.
