Damyang-gun Recruiting Trainees for 'Basic Farming Technology' Education for New Farmers
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang County, Jeonnam (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 27th that it is recruiting trainees for basic farming technology education to provide systematic farming technology support for prospective and current return-to-farm migrants.
This education consists of two courses: Basic Farming Course and Farming Practice Course, with a total of 40 participants.
The Basic Farming Course will be held over 8 sessions totaling 32 hours from March to April, and the Farming Practice Course will be held over 10 sessions totaling 40 hours from May to July. The target participants are return-to-farm migrants and those planning to move to rural areas, as well as young farmers who wish to receive the education.
The education method will include both theoretical and practical training combined with non-face-to-face education, as well as field visits to advanced agricultural sites.
The application period is until the 26th of next month, and applications can be submitted by filling out the form on the Agricultural Technology Center website and either visiting in person, sending via email, or applying by phone.

A county official stated, “We expect that conducting step-by-step education from basic agricultural technology to practical training will help with early settlement,” and added, “We hope many new farmers will use this education as a foundation for a stable return-to-farm life.”
