Six New COVID-19 Cases in Hwasun... Jeonnam Cases No. 729 to 734
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Six additional COVID-19 cases were confirmed overnight in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do.
According to the county on the 27th, the six confirmed cases include three family members of Jeonnam 722 (confirmed on the 25th), two family members of Jeonnam 723 (confirmed the previous morning), and one employee of the Sapyung-myeon Administrative Welfare Center.
They have been classified as Jeonnam 729 through 734.
Among them, five are asymptomatic, and only one reported experiencing dry mouth symptoms.
Jeonnam 730 and 733, family members of Jeonnam 722, are an elementary school student and a kindergarten student, respectively, and have been on vacation since the 14th, so they did not attend school or kindergarten. However, it was confirmed that 730 attended two academies.
The county has conducted emergency disinfection at the two academies and is conducting diagnostic tests on 90 people, including instructors and students.
Additionally, regarding the COVID-19 outbreak in Sapyung-myeon, a total of 339 people were requested to undergo diagnostic testing, of which six tested positive and 333 were confirmed negative.
Testing is also underway for the families of all employees of the Sapyung-myeon Administrative Welfare Center residing within the county.
Regarding the agricultural technology center employee confirmed the previous day (Gwangju 1526), all 41 employees tested in the center-wide screening were confirmed negative.

A county official stated, “Most of the confirmed cases are either asymptomatic or only recognize mild symptoms when diagnosed. We ask that people minimize interpersonal contact, always wear masks, and undergo proactive diagnostic testing even if symptoms are minor or absent.”
