'Doshi Dalpaengi' is a community where residents themselves created a communal activity space in 2017, with 11 groups engaging in regular monthly meetings averaging 33 sessions, involving about 90 participants in activities such as painting, reading, writing, and education.
In December of last year, it was selected as an excellent case in the '2020 Local Community Activity Excellence Contest' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award.
Recently, members of Doshi Dalpaengi and local residents of Mangyeong-dong collaborated over several years to produce the Jinju Village Travel Map - Gangnam Edition.
At the 'Date with Citizens' event, CEO Lee Tae-gon introduced the background and activities of the community, saying, "There are many citizens in Jinju striving to live in diverse ways, and I hope people recognize that such individuals are active in Mangyeong-dong," adding, "I am grateful to feel that we are receiving attention and support."
