Asia Economy Successfully Concludes '2021 Green Mobility Awards'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] At the ‘2021 Korea Green Mobility Awards,’ organized with the aim of leading the green mobility era?a key topic in the global automotive industry?Park Jin-ho, Executive Director of Battery Development at Hyundai Motor Company, received the Green Mobility Award, presented by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy. Hosted by Asia Economy and supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Environment, the Korea Green Mobility Awards recognize individuals and companies who have made significant achievements in green mobility technology development over the past year. This year’s event was held virtually to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Executive Director Park, who received the Green Mobility Award, was recognized for his contributions to the development and commercialization of Hyundai Motor’s electric vehicle dedicated platform battery system, ‘E-GMP.’ Additionally, the Technology Award (Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award) was presented to SK Global Chemical for setting the direction of future eco-friendly materials. Furthermore, the Mobility Innovation Award (Minister of Environment Award) was awarded to Hyundai Mobis and POSCO, respectively. Other awards included the Mobility R&D Award (Chairman of the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association Award) and the Mobility Technology Award (Asia Economy President Award), which were given to Renault Samsung Motors and Korea GM, respectively. The Mobility Energy Award (Asia Economy President Award) and the Smart Mobility Award (Asia Economy President Award) were awarded to Hyosung and Kakao Mobility, respectively, honoring their achievements.
