KT&G Announces Recruitment for the 4th SangSang Stage Challenge
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT&G is accepting submissions for the 4th "Sangsang Stage Challenge," a domestic original play support program, until the 21st of next month.
The "Sangsang Stage Challenge" is a program designed to support domestic original plays that aspire to be staged and reach audiences. Since 2017, KT&G has discovered and supported promising works annually through the "Sangsang Stage Challenge," selecting a total of three works including musicals and plays to date.
This call is open to domestic original musical works that can be performed between September and October. Participating groups or production companies can apply with premiere works being staged for the first time or revived works newly adapted from original pieces. Selected works must be able to be performed for more than four weeks and must not infringe on performance copyrights.
