[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] An incident occurred in the heart of Seoul where two men and women were stabbed to death with a weapon, prompting the police to launch a manhunt.
On the 23rd, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they are pursuing a Chinese-Korean man, Mr. A, who killed two people with a weapon in front of a restaurant located in Daerim-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu on the 22nd.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of stabbing and killing two people with a weapon he was carrying during a physical altercation following a verbal dispute with the victims' group.
Police investigation confirmed that the deceased male was a Chinese-Korean, while the identity of the deceased female has not yet been revealed. They were transported to the hospital after receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation from 119 following reports from nearby residents, but ultimately died.
Police who arrived at the scene arrested a friend of Mr. A, a man in his 50s who is also a Chinese-Korean, and are currently pursuing Mr. A.
