[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] On the 22nd, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul confirmed that a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) had visited the civil service office, and closed the office while quarantining the related staff.
According to the police, at around 11 a.m. on the same day, the Mapo Police Station received a report from the health center that "a civil service visitor who visited the civil service office for driver's license services at around 4 p.m. on the 15th was confirmed positive for COVID-19," and immediately closed the civil service office.
The police also instructed about 10 civil service office staff who were on duty at the time to undergo COVID-19 testing and to stay at home until the test results were available. It was confirmed that both the staff and the visitor were wearing masks at the time.
