Strengthening Field-Oriented Practical Training, Held Every Semester to Enhance Students' Problem-Solving Skills
The LINC+ Project Group at Dong-Eui University held the '2020 2nd Semester Capstone Design Competition Awards Ceremony' on January 21 at 11 a.m. in the main building's 2nd-floor conference room.

The Dong-Eui University LINC+ Project Group has been hosting a competition every semester since 2019 for students enrolled in the Capstone Design course to strengthen field-oriented practical education and enhance students' problem-solving skills.
This year, 77 teams participated, and after the first internal evaluation and the second external expert evaluation, one grand prize team, two excellence award teams, three merit award teams, four encouragement award teams, and five special award teams were selected.
The second evaluation was conducted through judging of presentation videos submitted by students and Q&A sessions using Zoom. The evaluation focused on the derivation and design process of the capstone design ideas, the appropriateness of the process, creativity and advancement of the ideas, qualitative excellence of the submissions, expected effects, and completeness.
The grand prize was awarded to the Route16 team (Woo Ji-woo, Kim Jeong-hyun, Song Young-joo, Gwak Mi-joo) from the Game Animation Engineering major for their project "Math Education Game for 1st Grade Elementary Students ? Alice in Mathland," receiving the President's Award and prizes worth 500,000 KRW per team member.
The excellence awards went to the Your Name Is team (Jeon Seong-ho, Kwon Hyuk-jun, Park Ji-yeol) from the Robotics and Automation Engineering major and the Daegil Abapsajo team (Yoon Dae-gil, Jang Man-gi, Kim Chang-in, Cha Jin-wook, Kim Woo-jin, Choi Kyung-bae) from the Chemical Engineering major, each receiving the President's Award and prizes worth 400,000 KRW per team member.

Lee Im-geon, director of the Dong-Eui University LINC+ Project Group, said, "Capstone Design aligns with our university's goal of fostering collaborative talents and its direction," adding, "We plan to gradually expand the scale of the competition to encourage participation from more students in the future."
