The 26th Insurance Broker Exam Passes 153 Candidates... 12 Fewer Than Before
Announcement of Final Passers for the 26th Insurance Broker Exam in 2020
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] On the 21st, the Financial Supervisory Service announced a total of 153 successful candidates for the 26th Insurance Broker Examination of 2020 held last month. The number of successful candidates decreased by 12 compared to the previous year.
The pass rate for the 26th Insurance Broker Examination was 30.8%, which also declined from 37.2% the previous year. The successful candidates were 38 Life Insurance Brokers, 71 Non-life Insurance Brokers, and 44 Third Insurance Brokers. The average scores of the successful candidates were 65.6 for Life Insurance Brokers, down 0.9 points from the previous year, and 65.0 for Non-life Insurance Brokers, down 0.5 points. Meanwhile, Third Insurance Brokers scored 67.0, an increase of 0.3 points compared to the previous year.

The highest proportion of successful candidates was aged 31 to 40, accounting for 46.4%. Those aged 51 and above made up 13.7% of the total. The list of successful candidates can be checked from 6 p.m. today on the Financial Supervisory Service website and the Korea Insurance Development Institute website. Certificates of passing will be sent collectively (by registered mail) to the addresses provided on the application forms.
