[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Kim Young-joo, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, requested cooperation for continuous Korea-Japan exchanges through the Japanese Ambassador to Korea.
At a farewell luncheon on the 21st with Ambassador Koji Domita, who served as the Japanese Ambassador to Korea for about 1 year and 2 months and is now leaving his post, Chairman Kim said, "I am very grateful for your efforts to improve Korea-Japan relations and economic exchanges between the two countries during your tenure," and added, "Please act as a bridge so that continuous cooperation can be achieved with Ambassador Koichi Aiboshi, who is scheduled to be appointed as the new Japanese Ambassador to Korea."
He also urged joint efforts to ensure that recent political issues do not stifle economic exchanges between the two countries, and requested that efforts be made to improve relations so that private economic cooperation can be more active and sustainable.

Chairman Kim said, "I hope that Korea and Japan can overcome the COVID-19 crisis together and grow as future-oriented business partners," and added, "In particular, I hope that Ambassador Domita, who has worked to revitalize Korea-Japan exchanges during his tenure, will share his wisdom in various ways to improve bilateral relations."
