Application Period: January 25 to February 19
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Jeon Chan-geol) announced on the 21st that it will provide disaster basic income of 100,000 won each to all residents in response to COVID-19, following last September.
The application period is from the 25th of this month to February 19th. The recipients are residents who have continuously registered their residence in Uljin-gun as of midnight on December 31, 2020, until the application date.
Residents can apply at the jurisdictional eup/myeon office with their ID card, and 100,000 won per person will be credited to the Uljin Sarang Card on a household basis. The usage period is until the end of April.
Use is restricted at entertainment bars, gambling establishments, directly operated stores by headquarters (franchise stores not headquartered in Uljin), stores whose card merchant registration address is not in Uljin-gun, and stores using payment agency companies.
Uljin-gun enacted an ordinance for disaster basic income payment in June last year in preparation for the ongoing COVID-19 disaster and supported all residents at that time with 4,696.4 million won.
