Kyowon Group Strengthens Non-Face-to-Face Edutech... '40% Increase in Video Teachers'
40% Increase in Online Teachers, Strict Recruitment and Teacher Management Program Implemented
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Kyowon Group announced on the 15th that it will increase the number of video conferencing specialist teachers by more than 40% to strengthen the competitiveness of non-face-to-face classes, which form the basis of its edutech learning programs.
According to Kyowon Group, it has been actively enhancing video learning, including launching the integrated video learning management platform 'Smart Hwasang Land' in February last year. Smart Hwasang Land is an online service where specialized teachers in each field provide one-on-one customized video learning at different levels. The group plans to expand the number of specialist teachers for future video class services.
In particular, for foreign language programs including the Doyosae series, the criteria for conversational ability tests have been raised to evaluate whether native speakers or those proficient in foreign language communication use accurate standard language and pronunciation.
Additionally, REDPEN AI math specialist teachers are prioritized for selection among science and engineering/mathematics education majors. Kyowon explained that the hiring process has been strengthened by verifying teaching abilities, which are difficult to assess through document screening, via handwritten tests and teaching demonstration tests.
