Hamyang-gun Opens Applications for Farming Settlement Support Project for Returnee Farmers
Submission to the local town or township office by February 5
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 13th that it is accepting applications until February 5 for the ‘Returnee Farmer Stable Settlement Support Project,’ ‘Returnee Farmer Farming Settlement Support Project,’ and ‘New Returnee Farmer Fallow Land Maintenance Support Project’ to encourage the stable settlement of returnee farmers.
The common eligibility criteria are household head under 65 years old, moved to Hamyang-gun within 5 years, lived in urban areas for more than 1 year as of the moving date, completion of returnee farmer education, and full-time farming. For detailed information on each project, inquiries can be made at the local town or township office.
To achieve 100% settlement of returnee farmers and attract urban residents wishing to return to farming, various projects such as operating a residential agricultural startup support center, specialized education for returnee and rural settlers, returnee startup activation education, and on-site training at leading farms are being conducted.
