Sejong Imposes Regular Registration License Tax: 27,000 Cases Totaling 660 Million KRW
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City has imposed and notified the regular registration license tax for this year.
According to the city on the 12th, the regular registration license tax imposed this year amounts to KRW 663 million for 27,236 cases. This represents an increase of 8.7% (2,190 cases) in the number of cases and 6% (KRW 38 million) in amount compared to last year's 25,046 cases and KRW 625 million. It is interpreted that the registration license tax increased as the number of various permits and approvals rose this year.
The taxpayers are individuals and corporations who received licenses (permits, approvals, acceptance of reports) under various individual laws as of the 1st of this month, and the payment period for the registration license tax is from the 16th to the 31st of this month.
The registration license tax can be paid by visiting financial institutions or through payment-only virtual accounts without tax notices, Internet WETAX, or mobile simple payment apps.
For more details, inquiries can be made to the city's Taxation Division's Acquisition Tax team or the tax officers at each Eup, Myeon, and Dong community service center.
