Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Dedicated to Training 'New Firefighters'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Seobu Fire Station (Chief Lee Cheontaek) is diligently conducting training for nine newly appointed firefighters despite the cold weather.
According to Seobu Fire Station on the 11th, the training is being conducted to help the new appointees become elite firefighters who protect citizens' safety, covering safety management and education necessary for their future public service careers.
The training, which began on the 4th, is operated by assigning mentor instructors in each field to help acquire knowledge and know-how related to fire, emergency medical services, rescue, as well as administrative tasks.
The appointees will undergo a four-week station internship until the 29th, after which they will be assigned to safety centers within the jurisdiction of Seobu Fire Station, taking their first steps as firefighters.
