Gyeongju City Conducts Mass Testing for COVID-19 in Nursing Hospitals and Rehabilitation Facilities Vulnerable to Infection
Operation of Temporary Screening Clinic at Gyeongju City Resident Health Support Center
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongju City announced on the 11th that it will operate a temporary screening clinic at the Gyeongju City Resident Health Support Center from the 11th to the 13th as a preemptive response to sporadic cluster outbreaks of COVID-19.
A specimen collection team consisting of 12 health center staff will conduct mass testing targeting 2,868 people (2,202 workers and 666 users) at 74 locations including nursing hospitals, psychiatric medical institutions, elderly day care centers, and psychiatric rehabilitation facilities. Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
To facilitate convenient use by workers, testing will be conducted according to the day and night shifts of the staff at the target institutions, and a separate testing route will be operated to accommodate visits by individual and group vehicles.

A Gyeongju City official stated, "Considering the cold weather, instead of the previously used tents or Mongolian tents, we plan to install containers so that medical staff and users can use the facility conveniently."
