On the 10th, Kim Heegon, a member of the People Power Party belonging to the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee, analyzed the '2019 Tax Year Wage Income 1000 Quantiles' data received from the National Tax Service. The average annual salary of the top 0.1% wage earners, totaling 19,167 people, was calculated to be 767.6 million KRW.
During the same period, the average annual salary of median income earners was 28.2 million KRW, showing a 27-fold difference.
