Daegu City Operates Weekend Temporary Screening Clinics ... 5 Hospitals Designated as Respiratory Specialized Clinics
In addition to the existing 4 temporary screening clinics, hospitals voluntarily begin operation
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 9th that it will further reinforce temporary screening clinics on weekends (9th-10th, 16th-17th) during the special COVID-19 quarantine period.
This measure comes amid the nationwide third wave of resurgence, with double-digit confirmed cases continuing in the Daegu area since the 11th of last month, and recently asymptomatic infections accounting for 38% of all confirmed cases.
To detect asymptomatic infections early, Daegu City selected five local hospitals by accepting participation applications from respiratory-specialized clinics within the region, becoming the first local government nationwide to do so in addition to existing temporary screening clinics.
The selected weekend temporary screening clinics are Saedongsan Hospital (Seo-gu), Dream Hospital (Nam-gu), Gu Hospital (Dalseo-gu), Segang Hospital (Dalseo-gu), and Jincheon Shilla Hospital (Dalseo-gu).
These hospitals will provide free COVID-19 testing to visitors wishing to be tested from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 9th-10th and 16th-17th. However, Saedongsan Hospital will start at 1 p.m. on Saturdays (9th and 16th), and Jincheon Shilla Hospital will operate only on Saturdays.
In addition to the weekend clinics, four temporary screening clinics in Daegu (Gukchaebosang Park, Duryu Park Baseball Stadium, Dasa Health Center, Daegu Stadium Drive-Thru) are also operating on weekdays. Due to the recent cold wave, their operating hours have been reduced to 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
