Uljin-gun to Issue Local Currency Worth 20 Billion Won This Year... 10% Cashback Throughout the Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk announced on the 9th that it will provide a 10% cashback on payment amounts to users of the local currency 'Uljin Sarang Card' until the end of the year.
The Uljin Sarang Card, issued in the form of an IC card last August, surpassed the initial issuance target of 3 billion KRW within three months of its launch, continuing a steep upward trend and setting a record by issuing 6.7 billion KRW by the end of the year.
Accordingly, Uljin-gun significantly increased the issuance amount of the Uljin Sarang Card to 20 billion KRW this year. The 10% cashback event will also be held throughout the year to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19.
The Uljin Sarang Card can be issued to anyone aged 14 or older regardless of residence. Cashback can be received within a limit of 500,000 KRW per month and 5 million KRW per year per individual.
