Hwasun Office of Education Supports Special Students in Obtaining 'Horticultural Psychology Instructor Certification'

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Hwasun Office of Education announced on the 8th that 14 special education students obtained the 'Level 2 Horticultural Psychology Instructor Certificate.'
The Hwasun Office of Education Special Education Support Center operated an employment preparation education program on horticultural therapy and certification acquisition, organized by the Korea Horticultural Therapist Association, for 20 special education students from local middle and high schools from September to November last year.
Under the lectures of Professor Shin Sang-ok from the Korea Horticultural Therapist Association, students practiced for a total of 20 hours, learning the basics of horticultural plants and working with various plants such as fruits, vegetables, and fresh flowers.
The certification evaluation was conducted through practical assessments during classes and written exams after classes. As a result, 14 out of 20 students obtained the Level 2 Horticultural Psychology Instructor Certificate, while the remaining students received course completion certificates for the horticultural psychology instructor program.

Choi Won-sik, the Superintendent of Education, stated, “I hope that the students who obtained the certificates feel a sense of accomplishment and that it helps them prepare for employment,” adding, “We will continue to provide support to strengthen the employment capabilities and independence of special education students through diverse and direct job experiences.”
