Commissioner Kim was appointed as the Commissioner of the Jeju Regional Coast Guard on March 20 last year and has been promoting coastal safety management focused on the safe operation of haenyeo (female divers) and prevention of fishing vessel accidents. He has also strengthened cooperation with related organizations such as the fire department, navy, and Southern Sea Fisheries Management Unit to work towards creating a "safe and clean Jeju sea."
In the personnel announcement of the Korea Coast Guard on the 6th, Commissioner Kim was appointed as the Director of the Investigation and Intelligence Bureau at the headquarters. Oh Sangkwon (53), Police Superintendent, has been nominated as the new Commissioner of the Jeju Regional Coast Guard.
