Accepting Export Company Applications from the 6th to the 8th of Next Month
Interested Companies to Verify Eligibility Based on Sales and Direct/Indirect Export Amounts
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration is recruiting global small giant companies to lead regional exports from the 6th of this month to the 8th of next month.
The Global Small Giant Company Development Project is a program that discovers export-oriented small and medium enterprises with innovation and growth potential and nurtures them as leading export companies and regionally driven representative companies.
Eligibility for application and registration requires companies to have sales between 10 billion and 100 billion KRW and direct or indirect export amounts of at least 5 million USD.
In particular, from this year, the eligibility requirements for small and medium enterprises in the service sector have been relaxed to promote overseas expansion of service companies. Service companies eligible are small and medium enterprises with sales between 5 billion and 100 billion KRW and direct or indirect export amounts of at least 1 million USD.
Companies designated as Global Small Giant Companies can receive customized package support such as overseas marketing and local government autonomous programs provided by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, local governments, and private financial institutions for the next four years through a cooperation model among central, local, and private sectors.
Regarding the support details, a dedicated voucher for global small giant companies is operated within the Export Voucher Project, supporting about 240 companies with overseas marketing necessary throughout the export process, including export strategy, design, promotion, and certification.
Additionally, when participating in the SME Technology Development Project, companies will receive enhanced technology development (R&D) financial and guarantee support compared to last year, including ▲ increased preferential points (Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration R&D, export-oriented R&D from 2 points to 3 points) ▲ establishment of separate technology development (R&D) for overseas certification standard-compliant products ▲ expanded participation of private financial institutions (KB Kookmin Bank).
