79 COVID-19 Cases Detected at Additional Temporary Screening Centers Amid Surge... Free Testing for All Regardless of Symptoms, Full Effort to Block Asymptomatic Spread
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] As of 6 p.m. on the 5th, a total of 79 confirmed cases have been identified at the temporary COVID-19 screening centers operated by Seongbuk-gu.
This early detection of hidden confirmed cases is helping to cut the chain of transmission and promptly block the spread within the local community.
Seongbuk-gu has installed and is operating two temporary COVID-19 screening centers: the Seongbukcheon Barammadang temporary screening center (168 Bomun-ro), established on December 14 last year, and the Seoul Civil Defense Education Center parking lot (376 Hwarang-ro), established on December 21.
As of 6 p.m. on the 5th, a total of 16,720 people have been tested at the temporary screening centers, with 79 confirmed positive cases, resulting in a positivity rate of 0.47%.
In response to the continued spread of COVID-19, Seongbuk-gu will extend the operation of the two temporary screening centers until the 17th.
