Goyang City Presents 'Dabok (多福) Package' Gifts to Families with Multiple Children
Starting This Year, Eco-Friendly Organic Baby Products Provided to Families with Third Child or More
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Goyang City in Gyeonggi Province is starting the 'Dabok (多福) Package' project this year, which gifts baby products to families with multiple children.
The city announced on the 5th, "This applies to families residing in Goyang who have given birth to a third or subsequent child, starting from babies born on or after January 1, 2021."
The 'Dabok (多福) Package' consists of seven baby items (onesie, head pillow, hat, socks, rattle, bib, gauze towel) handmade by seniors participating in the Goyang Senior Club's 'Grandmothers and Sewing Machines' project team. All items are made using eco-friendly organic fabrics that are safe for newborns.
Applications for the 'Dabok (多福) Package' can be made within three months of the child's birth by visiting the local administrative welfare center in the jurisdiction of the residence or by using the Happy Birth One-Stop Service on the Government24 website (www.gov.kr).
This project was established for the first time by accepting citizens' suggestions to diversify benefits for families with multiple children.
