[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The best album (OST) capturing the heartfelt moments of the musical 'Airport Baby' has been released. This is the first time the 'Airport Baby' OST has been released since its premiere in 2014.
The musical 'Airport Baby' centers on the protagonist, an adoptee named 'Josh Cohen,' who comes to Korea curious about the question "Who am I?" The story follows Cohen's journey to find his birth mother, accompanied by 'Delia,' a gay grandfather he meets by chance at a bar in Itaewon.
This best album was produced with the original cast of the musical 'Airport Baby' reunited. Director Park Kal-lin, who has been involved since the development stage, served as the album producer. Vocal performances include actors Choi Jae-rim, Kang Yoon-seok, Hwang Sung-hyun, who have been with the production since the first showcase in 2013, as well as Hong Sung-moo, Jung Jae-hwan, and Kim Seung-ri. Additionally, a bonus track featuring director Park Kal-lin, who makes a special appearance as Delia in the performance, is included.
The 'Airport Baby' best album contains a total of 13 tracks, including 12 numbers such as the signature songs "No Heaven For Me," "Airport Baby," and "Wojjasskkaing," along with the instrumental version of "No Heaven For Me."
'Airport Baby' is a work developed since 2008 by playwright Jeon Su-yang and composer Jang Hee-seon. It was selected as a supported work for the 1st Musical House Black & Blue in 2013, held a showcase in 2014, received production support as an excellent performance from the Korea Arts Council's Creative Musical program in 2015, was supported by the Creative Workshop New Work Relay in 2016, and was chosen as an excellent performance by the Bangbanggokgok Cultural Sharing program in 2018.
The 'Airport Baby' OST includes performance photos and is available for pre-order at major online stores such as Yes24, Kyobo Bookstore, and Aladin. Starting from the 12th, it can be purchased at the Shinhan Card Pan Square Live Hall, and from the 20th, digital music purchase and streaming services will be available on major music platforms.
