Damyang-gun Wins Grand Prize in Jeonnam 4-H Development Evaluation
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 4th that it won the Grand Prize in the Excellent Institution category and the Excellence Award in the Youth 4-H Member category at the 'Jeollanam-do 4-H Promotion Project Comprehensive Evaluation' recently hosted by the Jeollanam-do 4-H Headquarters.
The county received the Grand Prize in the Excellent Institution category in recognition of its contribution to fostering the county 4-H association and agricultural development by operating various support projects and programs such as capacity development education, task activities, and revitalization of local agriculture to improve the professional skills of the Youth 4-H Association, which protects rural communities and leads the region.
Park Ki-beom, president of the 4-H Federation, who won the Excellence Award in the Youth 4-H Member category, is a young farmer cultivating Damyang's Jukhyang strawberries in Wauri, Bongsan-myeon, and was highly evaluated for his efforts in the 4-H Association and the development of local agriculture.
