Jeonnam National University Hospital's New Year's Theme: "Leap to a Smart Hospital and Unite to End COVID-19"

On the 4th, Jeonnam National University Hospital held a New Year's ceremony at Baeknyeon Hall in Hospital Building 6, with a minimum number of attendees including Hospital Director Ahn Young-geun, key officials, and heads of various medical departments.
At the ceremony, Director Ahn emphasized that this year they will do their best to overcome COVID-19 while opening a new era of 100 years of medical benevolence. He said, "Since the trend of COVID-19 infections has not declined and anxiety about its spread remains, let us strictly adhere to social distancing and mask-wearing," adding, "Let us faithfully practice personal quarantine to avoid repeating the pain of last year's treatment suspension and do our best to overcome COVID-19."
Director Ahn presented the hospital's operational policy in his New Year's address.
This year's operational policy of Jeonnam National University Hospital is as follows: ▲Enhance the nationwide largest multi-hospital system treatment model and realize standardized medical services through expansion into world-class advanced medical fields ▲Become an educational institution fostering global medical leaders based on diverse experiences and creative education ▲Promote clinical research platforms and strengthen competitiveness in securing external R&D projects, embodying a research-centered hospital ▲Fulfill the role of a public medical institution that breathes together with the local community ▲Provide convergent medical services utilizing next-generation integrated hospital information systems, medical big data, and artificial intelligence ▲Pursue a hospital where employees are happy through organizational culture and labor-management relations improvement.
Director Ahn emphasized, "It is time for all employees to care for and encourage each other in order to achieve the new goals," adding, "If these efforts bear fruit, the goals will come much faster, and the status of Jeonnam National University Hospital will shine brighter and become more solid."

For the New Year's motto, Director Ahn proposed the four-character idioms Hoshiubo (虎視牛步, meaning sharp insight and acting diligently and cautiously) and Jeguposin (除舊布新, meaning removing the old and spreading the new), pledging a vigorous leap forward.
