Two Confirmed Patients Hospitalized and Treated at Sokcho Medical Center Die
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Two elderly COVID-19 patients in their 80s, who were hospitalized and receiving treatment at Sokcho Medical Center in Gangwon, died consecutively within two days.
The Sokcho City health authorities announced on the day that "A (female, 87, Cheorwon), who was diagnosed with COVID-19 and transferred to Sokcho Medical Center for treatment, passed away on the afternoon of the 2nd, and B (female, 85, Donghae) died on the morning of the 3rd."
In particular, the cluster infection in Galmal-eup, Cheorwon-gun, related to Ms. A, has residents anxious as the transmission route has not yet been identified.
Previously, in Cheorwon, around last Christmas, as confirmed cases surged, the county faced criticism for 'poor quarantine management' after organizing an event where public officials and village chiefs distributed masks to residents, ignoring quarantine rules.
