SSG.com Launches Limited Edition Kiehl's Albee Bag Giveaway Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] SSG.com will hold a special event from 9 a.m. on the 4th to the 17th, partnering with the New York cosmetic brand ‘Kiehl’s’ to give away a limited edition Albi bag (a cooler bag for dawn delivery) as a gift.
SSG.com has produced a limited quantity of 30,000 ‘Kiehl’s Albi bags,’ which are 10% the size of the regular Albi bag, and will give them away on a first-come, first-served basis to customers who purchase over 70,000 KRW via dawn delivery. However, for first-time customers only, they can enter the event regardless of purchase amount and receive the bag through a lottery. Separately, during the event period, the first 100,000 customers who order via dawn delivery will receive a Kiehl’s ‘Moisturizing Sample Kit’.
SSG.com explained that the collaboration was pursued because Kiehl’s and SSG.com share the value of ‘eco-friendliness.’ Since launching dawn delivery in June 2019, SSG.com introduced the Albi bag, which can be used semi-permanently, significantly reducing packaging materials such as Styrofoam boxes. Kiehl’s is also a leading beauty brand committed to environmental protection, using recyclable packaging materials and running a ‘Used Bottle Recycling Campaign’ to collect empty bottles.
In this way, SSG.com is gaining attention not only by presenting an eco-friendly delivery paradigm with the Albi bag but also by continuously combining practicality and stylish design in its marketing strategy.
In fact, in January last year, SSG.com collaborated with the fabric specialty brand ‘Kitty Bunny Pony (KBP)’ to produce 100,000 limited Albi bags, which were given on a first-come, first-served basis to new customers, receiving a positive response. Similarly, in June, they produced 20,000 limited edition mini Albi bags with the ice cream brand ‘Haagen-Dazs,’ which sold out within five days. During the Shinsegae Group ‘SSG Day’ event last October, 100,000 Starbucks Albi bags were also produced and gained popularity.
Meanwhile, during this event period, in addition to the limited edition Albi bag giveaway on a first-come, first-served basis, a ‘Kiehl’s exclusive package product’ that can only be purchased on SSG.com will be sold. The representative product is the ‘Ultra Facial Cream Jumbo Set,’ which bundles five items including ‘Ultra Facial Cream 125ml,’ ‘Sunscreen,’ and ‘Calendula Petal Toner.’
