Lee Nak-yeon: "Bold Fiscal Management Needed for Livelihood Stability and Economic Leap"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Lee Nak-yeon, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 30th, "In the new year, we must thoroughly prepare for the future to achieve rapid stabilization of people's livelihoods and economic leap," urging bold fiscal management and institutional support.
At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, Lee said, "We must urgently pass laws such as the non-face-to-face small and medium venture business promotion act to support innovative growth and empower companies."
He also emphasized legislation related to the Korean New Deal. Lee said, "Out of the 31 Korean New Deal projects, 4 have been processed. The rest are tasks from now on," adding, "I hope the speed will be increased so that they can be definitely processed in the February extraordinary session of the National Assembly."
