The county was selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years, receiving the Minister’s Award for Excellence this year following the Grand Prize in the same evaluation last year. This evaluation was conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare to create an opportunity to share and spread excellent social service models.
The ‘2020 Social Economy Promotion Support Project in the Social Service Sector’ is a pilot project conducted by selecting 16 basic local governments in 2020 to provide ‘Consortium Projects among Social Economy Organizations in the Social Service Sector’ and ‘Resident Participation-type Niche Care Services’ led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The main evaluation criteria included achievement of project goals, implementation performance, user satisfaction, securing sustainability of services, and efforts for nationwide expansion.
Sancheong-gun was recognized for its contribution to securing sustainability through detailed planning to resolve the community issue of a high proportion of single-person household beneficiaries and approval of national public services (local community service investment projects).
The Sancheong-gun Iso Partner project was conducted in the form of a consortium with Sancheong-gun as the leading institution, Sancheong Regional Self-Support Center as the representative institution, and social economy organizations such as self-support enterprises as participating organizations.
The service contents include ▲support for sociality improvement through woodworking, herbal experience, and local cultural exploration ▲support for independent living using cooking experiences ▲care activity services ▲art activities and humanities education ▲visiting residential hygiene environment improvement services.
