Prime Minister Jeong on Jeju Fishing Boat Capsizing: "Rescue as Quickly as Possible"
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun instructed to make every effort for a swift rescue in relation to the fishing boat capsizing accident that occurred off the coast of Jeju on the 29th.
The Prime Minister's Office announced that Prime Minister Chung urgently instructed, "The Minister of Oceans and Fisheries and the Commissioner of the Korea Coast Guard should mobilize all available vessels, aircraft, rescue teams, as well as fishing boats, merchant ships, and government vessels operating nearby to do their utmost in rescuing lives and conducting search operations."
He urged, "Rescue the crew members trapped inside the vessel as quickly as possible," and added, "Since the local weather conditions are unfavorable, ensure the utmost safety of the rescue teams."
